About Me

Music has never just been my career—it has been the language I use to process life, faith, and everything in between. What started as a teenage obsession at 17 grew into a lifelong journey across stages, studios, and boardrooms.

The spark came early. At 17, I entered my first songwriting competition with Channel NewsAsia and won with an English song that even surprised me. That moment showed me something essential: music doesn’t obey formulas. It finds its way to people’s hearts in ways we can’t predict.

In 2004, I founded Musicfactory publishing house and production house. in the same year I also launched my first ever debut album. I was thankful to Singaporeans for the support and the album was voted as one of the nominies in the categaory " Best local Album" in Anugerah Planet Musik organised by MediacorpRadio and Suria Channel.

Through it, I had the privilege of producing albums and working with some of Southeast Asia’s most celebrated artists—Ella, Dato’ Ramli MS, Dato’ M. Nasir, Sufi Rashid, and others whose voices shaped the region’s sound. The work also extended into meaningful national campaigns with Singapore’s Ministry of Education, the Central Narcotics Bureau, and Singapore Airlines, proving that music could connect with people far beyond entertainment.

Recognition followed songs like Lafaz, Dian, and Sinar earned nominations for Best Song of the Year and Best Theme Song in a drama.

Jaliboy Debut Album

I'm blessed and thankful to be part of Suria's SGmania singing competition where I got invited as one of the music producers that was given a chance to mentored 3 champion singers,winners from previous Anugerahs. Apart from mentoring and judging the singing competion, the music producers was given a task and flexibility to rearranged the music arrangement for the song that was given to my singers .Our role is to recognise each of our mentee's vocal strength and arrange the music in a way that would enhance their strength even more.

In 2015, I relocated to Kuala Lumpur to establish Jaliboy Sdn Bhd, where I continued producing, collaborating, and growing as a creative partner for Malaysian icons. Working across borders confirmed what I had always known: cultures and languages differ, but the emotional truth of music is universal.

Looking back on two decades, I’ve learned that music is both invisible and unforgettable. It bypasses logic, lodges itself in memory, and changes how people feel about moments long after they’re gone. That’s the power I’ve always chased—whether writing a theme song played in airports worldwide or producing tracks that live quietly in someone’s playlist but change their mood for a lifetime.

Today, I still will try to compose and create as much as I can despipte my busy schedule but on my own terms—free from industry deadlines and commercial formulas. Jaliboy.com is my space to share this journey, archive the music that shaped me, and build a community for composers, filmmakers, and writers who value art with integrity. This is a place for exchanging knowledge, collaborating authentically, and keeping creativity alive for the right reasons.
